BTCHEL 2025 Aftermath: Xellox Reflections from Helsinki

 

When Bitcoiners from around the world gathered in Helsinki for BTCHEL 2025, the atmosphere was electric. From world-class talks to late-night discussions in saunas, the event proved why it is quickly becoming one of the most important Bitcoin-only gatherings on the continent.

For Xellox, the experience was both inspiring and energizing. As an official partner and speaker, we had the privilege of being deeply involved, from the main stage to our own booth.

On Stage: Self-Custody in the Spotlight

One of the highlights for Xellox was Samuel Harjunpää joining the “How to Take Custody of Your Bitcoin” panel. Alongside other experts, Samuel shared practical insights into the real challenges hodlers face today – and how secure seed backup solutions like Yokis can make all the difference.

 

A Packed Venue and Unstoppable Energy

Throughout the event, the BTCHEL main hall was filled with Bitcoiners hungry for knowledge and connection. Panels, keynotes, and spontaneous conversations all revolved around freedom and Bitcoin.

Meeting Hodlers Face to Face

At the Xellox booth, we had the chance to connect directly with attendees – from plebs curious about self-custody, to developers and business owners exploring collaborations.

Beyond the Conference: Founders’ Sauna

BTCHEL wasn’t limited to the main stage. Together with fellow builders, Xellox hosted the Founders’ Sauna side event at Loisto Tower, bringing together founders, plebs, and innovators high above Helsinki’s skyline. It became an evening of meaningful conversations, idea-sharing, and, of course, Bitcoin sauna culture.

Looking Ahead

For us, BTCHEL 2025 was more than an event, it was a milestone in strengthening the Nordic Bitcoin community and pushing forward the conversation on real, secure self-custody.
